Easy and Simple Fall Decor
And just like that, Fall is here again.
There is nothing quite as cozy as decorating for Fall. When Spring has come to an end and those cinnamon spice candles fill your home with warmth and comfort. When the leaves finally change and the weather makes you want to stay home and sip hot cider.
I like to think I don't usually go crazy with Fall decor, but somehow I still have several of those plastic boxes labeled "FALL". With each year that passes being in our home, the number of those boxes multiply. I sure hope I'm not the only one..
This year I kept it pretty simple and inexpensive. I love using real pumpkins to decorate so that is where I spent most of my money! I always try to go to a local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins! Something I always do to preserve and maintain them, is to clean the pumpkins! Here is a tutorial on how to how do this and keep those cuties lasting all season long!
Alright for those of you who already have your Christmas decor up, this post might be too little too late. BUT maybe you can find a little inspo for touches of Fall if you are hosting a Thanksgiving gathering or Friendsgiving party!
Mums are a great way to add color to your porch. They are easily available at grocery or home supply stores. I like to place mine in metal buckets to dress them up a bit!
I was committed to keeping my mantle simple for Fall. I purchased some bright colored stems to add a little personality but kept everything else in a black and white scheme.
Yummy candles & mini white pumpkins. An easy touch for hosting Thanksgiving!
I love switching out my throw pillows for the season! Especially monogrammed or printed pillows. "Grateful" is perfect for the Fall and Winter season.
I carried this wooden sign over from last Fall. I honestly didn't purchase too much this season. My style definitely changes with each passing year, but I think it is also important to use what you have and not feel like you have to go out and buy all new decor every season!
For some festive coffee table decor, try filling a pretty bowl with wine corks! I love the warmth and texture it added to my metal tray. And guess what, I already had it at home! I have a big jar in the kitchen I keep all our corks in, so I just moved some into this gorgeous vase I purchased from Freckled Hen Farmhouse. My husband thinks I'm a hoarder, I like to call it being frugal.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and joyful holiday season! Let us not get caught up in the hustle and bustle and lets remember what this season is all about. Happy Thanksgiving, sweet Friends!
Stay Inspired,
Suzannah
